When trying to connect the Motorola MC40 to your wireless network, the status message toggles between "Connecting" and "Disconnected". The reason for this that your wireless router (wireless access point (AP)) does not broadcast its country code.
To overcome this problem, you will need to disable the 802.11d feature by following these steps:

Tap on Menu Button
- Select [Settings / Wireless & networks]
- Tap on the Menu Button again and select [Advanced]
- Deselect the "Enable 802.11d" checkbox
- Re-connect to the wireless network
