Article #209 After Confirming the Date, Solid Business Central Reports, 'Access Denied'

Description: When entering Solid Business Central at the start of a new month, after answering ‘Y-Yes’ to confirm the date, the program reports ‘Access denied’ and then shuts down.

Resolution: The reason for this date verification is so that it can perform it’s month end reporting from the previous month’s data. This reporting requires that the program has access to all its databases. For this reason all Workstations and instances of Solid MultiConnect must be closed prior to answering ‘Y-Yes’ to the date verification. Ensure that all Workstations and instances of Solid MultiConnect are closed, re-enter Solid Business Central, answer ‘Y-Yes’ once again to confirm the date, and allow it to complete its month end reporting.

Prevention: Ensure that all Workstations and instances of Solid MultiConnect are closed prior to opening Solid Business Central for the first time on a new month.
